Investing.com – In the latest trading session, Canada stocks closed lower with losses in the energy and mining sectors. The Toronto Stock Exchange fell by 0.32% at the close.
The top performers of the session were ARC Resources Ltd, Advantage Oil & Gas Ltd, and Tourmaline Oil Corp, with gains of 4.30%, 4.19%, and 4.01% respectively. On the other hand, Fortuna Mining Corp, SilverCrest Metals Inc, and OceanaGold Corporation were the worst performers, with declines ranging from 5.09% to 5.39%.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery fell by 0.73% to $2,675.10 per troy ounce, while Crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.39% to $68.61 a barrel.
In currency markets, the CAD/USD pair was unchanged at 0.74, while CAD/EUR remained steady at 0.66. The US Dollar Index Futures dropped by 0.12% to 100.12.
