Mexico Stocks Close Lower: Grupo Televisa SAB Unit Leads Gainers, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV Falls
Investing.com – Mexico stocks closed lower on Friday, with losses in various sectors leading shares down. The main index declined by 1.52%.
The top performers of the session included Grupo Televisa SAB Unit, which rose by 3.51%, Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. added 2.57%, and America Movil SAB de CV M was up by 1.13%. On the other hand, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV fell by 7.27%, GCC SAB de CV declined by 4.02%, and Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV was down by 3.27%.
On the Mexico Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered declining ones, with 148 stocks rising, 92 falling, and 19 remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery dropped by 0.52%, while Crude oil and Brent oil contracts rose by 1.43% and 1.28% respectively.
USD/MXN and EUR/MXN exchange rates saw increases of 0.49% and 0.24% respectively, while the US Dollar Index Futures were down by 0.10%.
